Apprentice Level 2

Required Knowledge (all previous levels plus):

• Knowledge of different types of masking tape and their use
• Able to identify hazardous materials and knows proper storage
• Knowledge of proper disposal of hazardous waste materials
• Knowledge of safety program items, such as
  • Ladder safety
  • High work safety requirements
  • Required posters, company policy & fall protection
  • Knowledge of basic substrates (wood, g.w.b., side lites… etc.)

Required Skills (all previous levels plus):

• Mask interior and exterior residential projects
• Protect with drop cloths, etc, interior & exterior residential Projects
• Immaculate clean up skills
• Maintain clean and properly stocked work area (store materials)
• Simple brush and roll techniques
• Scrape the surface to a sound substrate without damage
• Ability to feather sand leaving little or no profile
• Proper putty and caulking techniques for interior & exterior work
• Practices proper disposal of trade related garbage
• Removal and replacement of shutters, down spouts and gutters
